Bingo: A book by a speaker of an Indigenous or First Nations language:
Tekiteora, kei hea o hu?na Ngareta Gabel; na Ali Teo raua ko Astrid Jensen nga pikitia
Oh hogwash, Sweet Pea!
By Ngareta Gabel; translated and adapted from te reo Māori by Hannah Rainforth; illustrated by Ali Teo and Astrid Jensen
Groundbreaking at publication, as it was translated TO English, from te reo Māori.
One of my favourite library memories was listening to a staff member read the original to a class of five-year-olds, who didn't speak te reo Māori - and listening to them laugh, because the staff member was SO enthusiastic! AUE!
