This feels like a companion to Maya and her friends, in that it is about the impacts of war.
Donald is homeless, and then returns from war with PTSD.
His story is shown through the lens of Waverley, a homeless cat - named after the train station.
The use of colour juxtaposed with the black-and-white outlines, make Waverley and Donald stand out, and vividly show the close connection between the two.
